Happy Relaunch Day!

We are so excited to continue to support our local communities and organizations. While our original operation has shifted our focus has remained the same: end hunger in America.

Relaunch?

Yes, relaunch. Smiling Tummies began this amazing journey in 2014 with the hopes of making a meaningful impact in our local communities. Fortunately, we were able to do that and inspire some people along the way. We successfully held a food distribution event at Life Pointe Church in Homestead, FL, devoted countless hours of volunteerism to Feeding South Florida, started a school club that remains active to this day, and even published a children's book.

We truly feel like our work has made a positive impact in our community, but we are not done yet. We decided to relaunch Smiling Tummies with a new way of developing our mission. Our focus is to end hunger in America and that has not changed. We will use our efforts to educate our communities and support already existing local hunger-relief organizations because we believe more can be achieved when we work together. We want to be a resource for people to learn about food-insecurity and inspire our communities to get involved in different ways.

So... what's new?

One of the most exciting developments we are launching is our blog! This will be a space used as a tool for people to learn about food insecurity and create a community where we can share our experiences and what we are doing to end hunger in America. Our blog is a great way to showcase the positive impacts we are having in our communities and inspire more people along the way. We'll post tips, challenges, recipes, and more! This will include recipes that are affordable, where to find the best deals of the week, and tips on how to become more self-sufficient and get on the path to food security.

Let’s encourage one another to lend a helping hand. Cook a meal for someone, volunteer at your local food bank or soup kitchen, host a fundraiser, start a community garden, raise awareness on social media. We all have different strengths and abilities, how can you use yours for the greater good?

Conclusion

As we resume this amazing journey we began in 2014, we want to encourage you to join us. Ending hunger in America is no easy job, but we have to start somewhere. As the incredible Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Happy Relaunch Day!

Sincerely,

Smiling Tummies, Inc.
